Meet the teamThe 'A' Team . . an enthusiastic Team of plant hire specialistsWe are a dedicated team enjoying all aspects of the plant hire business. Paul Robertson is the Managing Director of Hire Plants Limited. He has worked with the company for over 12 years. Paul manages an enthusiastic team of eleven dedicated employees. Paul stands alone at the helm of the company, after the death of our much esteemed and much respected colleague, mentor and owner of the company, Ross Carley. Mel, one of our younger employees, is the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director in addition to being the Accounts and Administrative ‘whiz kid’ possessing the unique ability to solve any account query in the shortest possible time. Mel has such a pretty face, a reason in itself, to come and visit our nursery. Sue has the busy, responsible and most important role as both Sales Manager and Plant Hire Consultant. Sue has been with the company for 12 years, bringing with her twenty years of ‘plant hire’ knowledge, which she confidently passes on to potential and existing clients. Hilary is one of the Plant Hire consultants with an Interior Design background. Hilary has the ability to offer expert advice on all aspects of Plant Hire in both Commercial and Domestic situations. Kathy is the Nursery Manager, one of the most important roles within the company. Kathy is totally responsible for 2000 square metres of greenhouse and open plan planting. Kathy’s vast company knowledge began when she was initially employed as a plant service technician. Her vast experience is responsible for the large variety of healthy, disease resistant plants, in the nursery today. Mary is Kathy's very hard working '4 days a week' part time assistant. She has a lovely smile and is always eager to assist with any job that comes her way. Mary is currently studying at Unitech in the Horticultural field. Trish, ex service tech, has also joined Kathy's 'part time crew with 2 days a week, hard work, in the nursery. Trish's many years in the industry has made her very knowledgeable and her assistance is very much appreciated. Gustavo is the General Services Manager, whose vast knowledge in many areas of the plant hire business, has become invaluable to every service operating within the company. Gustavo is 'the cog in the wheel,' but sadly for all his colleagues, he has an annoyingly loud voice. Sam is one of the youngest members of our team and shows enormous potential in all aspects of nursery and landscaping work. He has a happy, friendly disposition and his ability and enthusiasm will prepare him for any job that is 'hurled' in his direction. Lately he has been assigned to the role of apprentice in Gustavo's container building business, which is a huge success, I might add. Lastly but certainly not least, Maureen, Pat and Ros are three of the ‘most important’ plant service and maintenance representatives. They are the company’s link to the plant hire client base and are an integral part of the successful running of the entire plant hire business. Our customers love the three ladies and enjoy their regular visits. Maddy is our resident Cavoodle puppy, now almost 3 years old. She is in charge of security and patrol and greets every potential customer accordingly. She is by far the 'loudest member of the team, even louder than Gustavo . . . . just !!!! Contact us now!
